THE EMBASSY CONTINUES WITH THE EVENTS DEDICATED TO THE LITHUANIAN PRESIDENCY OF THE COUNCIL OF THE EU

On the 25th of July the Lithuanian Embassy in the Netherlands organised a lecture for the students of The Hague Academy of International Law. The ambassador Darius Semaška introduced the priorities of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the EU, presented the main activities of the Embassy and stressed the importance of diplomacy in resolving legal disputes between the states. The lecture was attended by International Law students from France, Latvia, Spain, China, Brazil, Chile, India, Lebanon, Thailand and the Republic of Korea.

On the 15th of July, the priorities of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the EU were presented to the officials of the Dutch government and the Royal Court, representatives of the diplomatic corps, non-governmental institutions and media as well as policy experts. The event was held in the Clingendael Institute of International Relations.
