OPENING OF THE LITHUANIAN SCHOOL „VARPELIS“

On February 3, 2007 the Lithuanian Embassy in The Hague was host to a special event: the opening of the first Lithuanian school „Varpelis“ .
This school was the initiative of the Lithuanian – Dutch society in the Netherlands (OLB). The audience was welcomed by Ms. Daina Toleikytė, head of the OLB. Ms. Judita Louwers, the teacher and ‚godmother‘ of „Varpelis“, presented the concept and targets of the school. Later on the children and their parents enjoyed the sparkling performance of the most famous Lithuanian clown Mr. Arkadas (Arkadijus Vinokuras).Photos from the event:
