LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTED CREDENTIALS TO THE QUEEN OF THE NETHERLANDS

On 18 April Lithuanian Ambassador Vaidotas Verba presented credentials to H. M. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. During the conversation with the Queen, the development of bilateral relations between Lithuanian and the Netherlands was discussed, as well as the preparation of Lithuania to join the Schengen zone and the Euro zone, and other issues of Lithuania’s relations with the neighbouring countries. During the conversation Maxime Verhagen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands was also present.

Vaidotas Verba is the second Lithuanian Ambassador to the Netherlands.

Lithuania and the Kingdom of the Netherlands established diplomatic relations on 3 December, 1991.
