"Jotvingis" a flag ship of NATO's Standing Naval Forces visits Amsterdam

A Standing NATO Mine Counter-Measures Group ONE (SNMCMG1) under command of Lithuanian Navy Commander Mr Giedrius Premeneckas visited port of Amsterdam on December 27-30, 2014. A flagship of SNMCMG1 for the second half of 2014 is the Lithuanian Minelayer LNS "Jotvingis" (N42). LNS "Jotvingis" to the port of Amsterdam led Belgian, Dutch, Estonian, German, Latvian, and Polish Navys‘ mine-hunters.

On November 27, 2014 SNMCMG1 commandig officers in cooperation with Embassy of Lithuania in the Netherlands on the board of “Jotvingis”organized presentation of SNMCMG1 tasks and missions as well as viewing of ships. At this event participated representatives of NGOs and Think Tanks operating in the field of security and defence, and representatives of The Netherlands Royal Navy.
