INVITATION TO THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE "EASTLINK:THE WAY TO KNOWLEDGE ECONOMY"
Klaipeda Science and Technology Park together with partners kindly invite to the 2nd International conference „ EastLink: The Way to Knowledge Economy“, to take place on October 1-2, 2012 in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
The concept of “EastLink” cooperation is based on the EU Eastern partnership policy and the EU Central Asia cooperation strategy. The main goal of the conference is to attract business support organizations, science institutions and enterprises for a constructive dialogue aiming at:1. Building a bridge between education institutions in the East and West;
2. Facilitating joint research projects;
3. Accelerating technology transfer processes in various areas of cooperation;
4. Facilitating business partnership for promotion of innovations and fostering development of knowledge economy.

Program
The conference will allow participants to get acquainted with experts’ reports on global trends that influence aforementioned sectors regionally and nationally. Program of the conference encompasses a special session on how to manage the main EU finance programs and various presentations on IP management and commercialization models. Prepared case studies will illustrate successful examples of science knowledge commercialization.

While program is still under development there are few spaces left for the high quality speakers and experts to present their ideas and findings. If you would like to participate as a speaker or would like to propose a speaker for the conference, please contact the organizers by sending a CV and an abstract of the presentation to eastlink@kmtp.lt.
Last but not least:
Due to the support of the EU and national projects, this year’s event is FREE OF CHARGE. More than 200 participants from more than 20 countries are expected at the conference.
