EUROPEAN LITERATURE NIGHT IN AMSTERDAM

On the 14th of May, 2013, at 20:00, the annual European Literature Night will take place in 'De Brakke Grond' (Nes 45, 1012 KD), Amsterdam. This year, on the invitation of Lithuanian Culture Center in the Netherlands, Lithuania will be represented by Laura Sintija Černiauskaitė.

Taking the title of Montaigne's essay 'That we laugh and cry for the same thing' as their guide, authors from all over Europe have been inspired to write a short story or an essay. At the European Literature Night in Amsterdam, seven of them will take part in a discussion with Margot Dijkgraaf: Laurent Binet (France), Jàchym Topol (Czech Republic), Marcel Beyer (Germany), Kristina Toth (Hungary), Nihan Kaya (Turkey), Marja Pruis (the Netherlands) and Laura Sintija Černiauskaitė (Lithuania).

The event is organised by EUNIC Netherlands.
