The extent of modernization of multi-apartment houses in Lithuania is growing in – the renovation of nearly 600 houses is planned this year. In order to meet the increasing demand for renovation works, it is intended to invite as many construction companies as possible from Lithuania and abroad. Therefore, the electronic catalogue of Central Purchasing Organization (CPO) is being updated, from which all services and works related to renovation are bought. During the process of updating of this electronic catalogue, the Central Purchasing Organization, in cooperation with Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Economy, has announced the international public tenders. The construction companies, which meet the requirements, will be included in CPO LT catalogue, so they could perform the renovation works of multi-apartment houses in Lithuania. Companies from Lithuania and from foreign countries, which provide project works, general and special services of contract construction works, are invited to participate actively and submit their proposals. 

„The purpose of this tender is to provide opportunities for more construction companies to participate in the renovation process.  Renovation processes are growing fast and the lack of capabilities is becoming obvious. Thus, if more companies provide their quality services, the whole renovation process will be accelerated,” – Vice-Minister Daiva Matoniene says.

Documentation of the tender (qualification requirements for suppliers, technical specifications, agreements) is prepared after examining the proposals from associated construction organizations and considering previous experience of such purchases.  The redundant requirements and unnecessary restrictions were left aside in order to organize favourable conditions for bigger number of participants to participate in the tenders.

Moreover, from now it will be possible to buy renewable energy source devices (solar collectors, wind power plants, biofuel boilers, and geothermal energy), works and services of lift renovation (modernization) or their change, services and works of installation of gas heating boilers.   

All companies, which provide design works, general and special services of contract construction works, are invited for active participation in the tender. Proposals for the construction works (together with the design works and without) can be submitted till March 3, 2014 and proposals for design works can be submitted till March 17, 2014.
