In the evening of 13 July in Ankara, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, together with the Chancellor of the Government Giedrė Balčytytė and the Vice-Minister of the Interior Arnoldas Abramavičius, met with Turkey's Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and the Minister of the Interior Süleyman Soylu. The main purpose of the visit to Ankara was to take joint action to stop the flow of illegal migrants to Lithuania from Belarus, to prevent the emergence of a new illegal migration route to Lithuania through Belarus, and to put an end to the existing criminal human smuggling schemes.

On 12 July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis attended the EU's Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels and stressed the importance of the EU's solidarity with Lithuania, which was dealing with the Belarusian regime's migratory pressure, and proposed considering measures for the EU's joint response.

On 6-7 July, the 3rd meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the “Lublin Triangle” – Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine – took place in Vilnius. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis welcomed his Polish and Ukrainian counterparts, who came to take part in the “Lublin Triangle” meeting on the eve of the Ukraine Reform Conference. After a long pause due to the pandemic, the event offered the Foreign Ministers the opportunity to discuss various aspects of closer trilateral cooperation in a face-to-face meeting.
