On 9 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius had a telephone conversation with his Georgian counterpart David Zalkaliani. The Foreign Ministers discussed preparations for video conferences of the Eastern Partnership Foreign Affairs Ministers and leaders in June, the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and other issues.

On 11 March Linas Linkevičius, Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a meeting with Philip Thomas Reeker, the United States of America Assistant Secretary of State, where they discussed relevant issues of transatlantic cooperation and regional security including partner efforts in countering disinformation and attempts to rewrite history.

On 10 March, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the Restoration of the Independence of Lithuania, Vilnius held the Bucharest Nine (B9) meeting of the foreign ministers of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary. Delegates from the United States of America and NATO attended the meeting as guests. Gitanas Nausėda, President of the Republic of Lithuania, greeted the participants in the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania.

On February 24 in Geneva, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius took part in the event jointly organized by Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland on human rights situation in Crimea and Sevastopol, illegally annexed by the Russian Federation, with a special focus on political prisoners and arbitrary detentions.

On 29 November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius expressed his condolences to a close friend of Lithuania, Chairman of Japan-Lithuania Friendship Diet Members' League Hirofumi Nakasone on the passing of his father, former Prime Minister of Japan Yasuhiro Nakasone. In these moments of loss, the Foreign Minister wished the family and relatives the strength to bear the great pain.
